stellular
(adj.) having the form of a small star or small stars; spotted with stars.
Welcome to Stellular Scribe! I’m Em ― just another wanderer in time and space who has an unhealthy obsession with the written word.
I’ve started this blog in the hopes of enhancing my craft and learning from others. I’ll post some of my own works, mainly short stories and poems, and every now and then share some of my tips and tricks for being an aspiring writer.
When my pen leaves the page, I transform into a recent graduate of anthropology and creative writing, a practicing musician afflicted by constant hand cramps, and a hobbyist digital painter.
In my twenty-two years on this earth I have written five novels ― which, though likely never to see the light of day, I have cherished for their inspirations and experiences. My sixth novel, entitled HYMNS OF SALT AND TERROR, is a YA fantasy set in a Mediterranean-inspired world of sirens and piracy and anti-heroes.
I create motivational writing playlists of diverse instrumental themes over at 8tracks under the username Igniparous.

Hi, thanks for liking one of my scribbles. I’ve had a ramble through your poetry and have really enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing. I’m another forced to write in the early hours so appreciate the work you have put in. Again, like you, time is too fleeting to spend as long as I would like tool, but if you don’t mind, I will drop by now and then just to have a good old nosy. Take care and obsess at will, that’s why words are there.

It’s another late night and we do what we do when we can. Thanks for all the likes and support. I’ve had to play catch up. Here is a big like for all your recent poems, and for any I may have missed. I love the way you marry poetry with illustrations, they compliment each other, but only because you make them do so. You have created some great characters amid your sweet verse. The midnight oil is waiting for a match, I best skedaddle
take care.

Quick question: why are you stellular and not just stellar?
LikeLike
Some people mistake ‘stellular’ for ‘stellar’, and that’s perfectly understandable; they are very similar. ‘Stellular’ means ‘spotted with stars’ whereas ‘stellar’ means ‘pertaining to the brilliance of stars.’ To answer your question, ‘stellular’ just felt more natural, and I liked that image of being spotted with stars. In all honesty, if I had called myself the ‘Stellar Scribe’, than I would feel a bit arrogant, kind of like I was calling myself this brilliant writer. Really, I just like stars. And alliterations. Hope that answers your question! 🙂

Of course. 🙂 I just thought it was an interesting distinction. “Stellular” comes from a diminutive form of the same Latin root that “stellar” comes from, and I’m glad that you’ve made use of it. It’s one of those words that people don’t know anymore. 🙂

Hi Stellular I hope you are well, I can see from your posts that you have been a very busy person. i just dropped in to say keep up the good work. Your blog is branching out like a maturing oak, It is good to see. I’ve been busy for a while so haven’t had the chance to drop in for some time, but as always, you are deserving of more “likes” and followers than you have. Take care and may every etch of ink transform in to magical verse and wonderful art.
